Hartog de Wolff was a son of Emanuel de Wolff and Jansje Dribbel. He married in Amsterdam on 4 May 1910 to Aaltje la Balance, daughter of Jonas la Balance and Betje Cohen. However, since November 1934 both are residing at different addresses: Aaltje la Balance is living sincethen at Gerard Terborgstraat 57 II in Amsterdam.
The couple had one daughter, Jeanette.
