From Benjamin's siblings, also Hendrika and Judith were killed during the Holocaust. Also his brother Mozes, who was deported in Convoy XV on 24 October 1942 from Mechelen to Auschwitz and possibly has been killed there upon arrival.

Benjamin Sluijzer was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. He was 12 years old when he died.
