Saartje Zwaap was a daughter of Levie Zwaap and Jannetje Slager. She married 25 August 1909 to Joel Cohen from Winschoten, a son of Isak Simon Heiman Cohen and Roosje Polak. The couple had two children: Louis and Heiman.
Joel Cohen has passed away in February 1934 and was interred on the 14th of that month in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
Saartje had siblings, who also have been killed during the Holocaust:
