About Emanuel Wijzenbeek

Emanuel Wijzenbeek, a sales representative at Philips, was married. He and his wife lived in Eindhoven. They had two children. Emanuel Wijzenbeek helped Jews in hiding, in part by arranging places for them to stay, forged papers and ration coupons and cards. Emanuel Wijzenbeek was caught in Eindhoven on 14 January 1944 and held at the prison in Scheveningen (Oranjehotel). He was deported from there to Auschwitz via Westerbork. His pregnant wife survived the war.
