Emile Eckstein was the fourth born child in the family of Mozes Eckstein (Appingedam 26 augustus 1885 – Amsterdam 31 december 1961) and his roman-catholic spouse Maria Clotilda Stevens (St. Jansteen 19 december 1880 – Amsterdam 2 maart 1961).
