About Judith Schelvis-Kamp

Judith Kamp was a daughter of Andreas Kamp and Sprientje Jacobs Sanders. She married on 22 May 1907 in Rotterdam to Abraham Schelvis uit Amsterdam, aged 43, a son of Nathan Arie Schelvis and Eva Trompetter. It is unkown whether the couple Schelvis-Kamp had any children. Abraham Schelvis passed away on 13 May 1935, 71 years old and was two days later interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen..

As the widow Judith Schelvis-Kamp. she lived in with the Ephraim Snoek family at Douwes Dekkerstraat 33 III in Amsterdam-West, where she was known as "Tante Jet" (aunt Jet). Ephraim Snoek, married in 1934, lived with his wife at the 2nd stock and had two daughters, Engelina Selma and Sophia. "Tante Jet" was a regular babysit for those two little girls.

On 26 November 1942 Judith Schelvis was registerd in Camp Westerbork and on 4 December deported to Auschwitz, where she was killed immediately upon arrival there on 7 December 1942.
