Rika van Coevorden was a daughter of Jonas van Coevorden and Miena Stoppelman. She married Hartog van Coeverden in 1902, who died in 1938. Two of her children, Johanna and Betje, died in their first year of life. Her son Jonas (1904) died in 1931. Her daughters Miena and Betje died during the war. She lived, together with her youngest son, with her nephew Julius van Coeverden.
