Lena Vegt was a resident at the Beileroord psychiatric institution in Beilen. During the raid in the night of 2 to 3 October 1942, she was removed from the institution with eight other patients and deported to Auschwitz via Westerbork.

Lena Vegt was a daughter of Mozes Vegt and Rebecca de Leeuwe. She was not married. On December 22, 1912 she gave birth to a daughter, Rebekka.
