Daniel Mozes was a son of Simon Mozes and Sophia Dwinger. He was married to Betje Braadbaart, a daughther of Abraham Braadbaart and Roosje van der Veen. In April 1942 she resided as head of the family at another address in Rotterdam.

Daniel Mozes was intelligent, calm and kind. He went to the HBS and later to Rotterdam to study economy. Because of the war he did not finish his studies. He quickly married Betje (Betty) Braadbaart, in order to be able to go into hiding together. They went into hiding in Rotterdam next to their mother Sophia Dwinger. They were betrayed and arrested.
