About Louis van Gelderen

Louis van Gelderen was a son of Abraham van Gelderen and Mietje Zilverberg. He married 5 August 1942 to Grietje Polak, a daughter of Mozes Polak and Schoontje Koster.
When his mother died on 19 April 1931, his father remarried on 7 December 1932 in Amsterdam to Saartje van Gelder. His father passed away in October 1939.
Louis had four sisters who have survived the war. His other siblings, Betje, Rebekka, Godard and Samuel have been killed during the Holocaust.

Louis van Gelderen was assigned to work at Camp Moerdijk from Vught. He requested to be deported to Westerbork to join his wife there.
