About Simon Nathan Minco

Simon Nathan Minco (nickname Simon) went into hiding together with his father Maurits Minco, his mother Sophia Minco-Nathans, his sister Estella Rosetta and his borther Nico and twin brother Salomon Elias with farmer Evers in Hezingen.

On 6 October 1944, a group of Germans and Dutchmen raided Evers's farm. Maurits, his wife Sophia, their daughter Estella Rosetta and three sons Simon Nathan, Nico and Salomon Elias were caught and transferred to the barracks of the military police at the Almelosestraat in Ootmarsum. Early the following morning, on 7 October 1944, Maurits and his three sons were rounded up from the barracks by a group of Germans of the Sicherheitsdienst and shot through the head just outside Ootmarsum.
