Willem Langendijk was a brother of 560973. He had studied mathematics and physics in Utrecht. He finished his studies in physics cum laude 0n the 2nd of May 1938 and had his PhD at the same university on 25th of September 1939. The title of his dissertation was The Photographic method in quantitative Bèta-ray-spectroscopy. His parents survived the war.
