Mozes van Cleef was a son of Simon van Cleef and Judith Polak. He married 10 September 1929 in Amasterdam to Duifje Boesnach, a daughter of Asser Boesnach and Sara Witteboon.
His siblings, who have been killed also during the Holocaust were Abraham, Doortje, Rebecca and Joseph.
