About Levie Vreeland

Levie Vreeland was a son of Isaac David Vreeland and Aaltje Salomon Visjager. He married 8 November 1893 in Amsterdam to Sara Blitz, a daughter of Levie Lucas Blitz and Bloeme Swaab. The couple had seven children, of whom two daughters have survived the war and one son died in childhood, only 2 years old. The other children: Bloeme, Machiel, Alida and Lucas were all killed during the Holocaust.

Levi Vreeland was a merchant. He sold irregular goods at the Amsterdam market at the Waterlooplein. Levie Vreeland also worked as a diamondworker.
