Simon Gobets was a son of Machiel Gobets and Elizabeth Bak. He married 28 May 1914 in Zaandam to Elisabeth van Brink, a daughter of Israel van Brink and Wilhelmina Stoppelman. The couple had two children, who both have survived the Holocaust, just as their mother.
Simon's brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Van Brink family were Mozes Lion de Vries, 520466, 497097, 517291, 507628 en 491872.
