Rosa de Jong was a daughter of Abraham de Jong and Maaike Cohen. She married Joseph Spijer in Amsterdam on 14 June 1933, a son of Elkan Spijer and Grietje Spijer.
Her siblings, who did not survive the Holocaust too were Hartog, Marianne, Benjamin, Jacob, Anna, Wolf, Karel, and Esther. Two brothers have survived the war.
