About Bloeme Levie-Pam

Bloeme Levie-Pam was, at one time, married to Mozes Levie’s younger brother Herman, who died young. In the 1920s she was married again, this time to Mozes. Before her marriage to Mozes Levie, Bloeme Pam had a lingerie shop at Tweede Hoofdstraat 19 in Meppel. On 3 October 1942, Bloeme Levie-Pam and her two children were taken from their home and transported to Westerbork, where she was reunited with her husband.

Bloeme Pam was married to Mozes Levie. She was remarkably eloquent. She was a market vendor, selling items such as underwear. Her utterances were bold for her day. Holding up a large pair of underpants, she would say: 'A man and a woman could fit in here together.'
