Aäron Abas was a son of Mozes Abas and Grietje Leijden van Amstel. On November 16, 1905 he got married to Johanna Hermanides. At the marriage contract his profession is stated as diamond polisher. The couple had seven children and lived alternately in Amsterdam and in Belgium. Aäron Abas later got remarried to Lena Vierra.
