Salomon Engers was the son of Marcus Engers and Frouke Salomon van Oosten. He was a physician. On 20 September 1920 he got married to Geilina Saartje de Jong in Breda. She was the daughter of Jacob de Jong and Henderina van der Klei. Geilina Saartje had three sisters, among whom Cato.
