Hijman Polak and his family

Hijman Polak was a son of Pinehas Polak and Rozetta van Kreveld. He was married to Roza Beem, daughter of Ezechiel Beem and Sara Cohen.

Hijman Polak and Roza Beem had three unmarried children: Pinéchas, office clerk, Sara, private secretary, and Rozetta Ezie Dina. The family lived in the Bergstraat in Amersfoort. Hijman Polak was a shopkeeper.

A hiding place was found for Rozetta Ezie Dina in Den Helder. Hijman, his wife Roza and their children Pinéchas and Sara went into hiding in Putten (province of Gelderland). They were caught and deported to Scheveningen. Rozetta Ezie Dina joined them there. All members of the family were deported via Westerbork.
