The Heertje family was in Enschede for the preparations of the marriage of a sister of Carolina Heertje-Cohen, when a raid took place. Their daughter Theodora (also named Paula) and her great-grandmother Carolina Cohen-Ten Brink were picked up. Philip and Carolina Heertje went searching for their daughter and grandmother. After a few days later they got arrested aswell.
