Salomon de Groot and his family

The mayor of Steenwijk requested that Salomon de Groot, a travelling salesman, and his wife Betje Slager, both residing in Steenwijk, be located, detained and brought to trial. They had left their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 4442/15176).
