Mozes Schellevis and his family

According to tradition Mozes Schellevis and his non-Jewish spouse tried to flee to England in 1941. After a failed attempt they were interrogated in The Hague and in a seperate room of the Oranjehotel in Scheveningen. The wife of Mozes Schellevis survived concentration camp Ravensbrück. Almost 35 years after the war she wrote down that she had experienced herself how sweet Jewish men are for a woman.
