David Gersons and his family

David Gersons was married to Kaatje Hartog. The couple had a child who survived the war, as well as a son (Salomon) who drowned during the war. The family lived at 47 Bisschop Zwijsenstraat in Tilburg.
David Gersons was summoned to appear before the Sicherheitspolizei on 22 June 1942. He was arrested and deported to Mauthausen via Camp Amersfoort. His wife Kaatje Hartog went into hiding but was caught in Tilburg on 2 August 1944 and deported.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 1450) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 3913/10171).
