Gustav Leers and his family

The Leers family fled from Hamburg to the Netherlands in 1937. They found a place to live in Rotterdam, at Stadhoudersweg 160. Gustav Leers took a job here at the firm of Tentler’s, which traded in animal hair. In 1941 the family was ordered by the occupying forces to leave the coastal area, after which they moved to Soest.
