Maurits Serphos

Maurits is een zoon van Mozes Serphos en Bertha Rosendahl. Hij trouwde september 1928 met Benjamina Sara Koppels.

Na de oorlog is Maurits vanuit Amsterdam terugverhuisd naar Enschede, Bisschopstraat 41.

De huidige familie Serphos c.q. Serfhos te Enschede ontstond aan het begin van de 19^e eeuw met de broers Salomon Urias en Nathan Urias (later Serphos genoemd) afkomstig uit het Duitse “Flecken” Anrath/Anroot (nu Willich) gelegen nabij de grens van Duitsland met Frankrijk.
