Ludwig Frankenthal was educated in Germany and was a surgeon at the Jewish hospital in Leipzig. He is presumed to have reached The Hague in 1938.
Ludwig Frankenthal was interned in Westerbork, from where he was transferred to Theresienstadt. In October 1944 he was killed in Auschwitz. His wife survived the war. His sons Günther and Wolfgang perished.
