About Ruben Salomon Kleinkramer, his wife Elizabeth Helena Kleinkramer-Cohen and their daughters Rosy and Salomé.

Ruben Salomon Kleinkramer, born 18 October 1903 in Strijen, was a son of Jozeph Kleinkramer and Roosje Haas. He married Elizabeth Helena Cohen in Rotterdam on 25 March 1937, a daughter of Salomon Cohen and Sophia van Straten. She was born in Rotterdam on 18 December 1910 .

Ruben Salomon Kleinkramer was educated as a chemical engineer and was a pharmacist by trade. In 1919 he lived shortly in Rotterdam, but later he moved to Eindhoven. His wife Elizabeth Helena Cohen was unsubscribed on 25 March 1937 from Rotterdam to the Ruusbroeclaan 17 in the Elzent-Noord district in Eindhoven. The last known address of the Kleinkramer family in Eindhoven was the Hertog Hendrik van Brabantplein 6. The couple Kleinkramer-Cohen had two daughters: in 1938 Rosy was born and in 1941 Salomé. Both the children survived the Holocaust in hiding.

During their hiding, Ruben and his wife Elizabeth were betrayed and arrested on 25 January 1943 in Geleen and have been imprisoned in Maastricht. On 6 February 1943 they were carried off to Westerbork and on arrival there immediately locked up in the penal barrack 66. On 9 February they were put on transport to Auschwitz where Elizabeth on arrival there on 12 February 1943 immediately has been killed in the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Her husband Ruben first passed the selection on arrival at the “Rampe” and was put to work as a forced labourer in the camp. Eventually he has lost his life in Auschwitz on 30 April 1943.
