About Rebecca Park.

Rebecca Park, born 23 July 1926 in Amsterdam, was the legal daughter of Emanuel Park and Hendrina Schaap. Her father was a diamond worker and worked already for several years in Borgerhout for a diamond-cutting establishment. When her father married Rebecca’s mother in 1925, he already soon left Amsterdam for Belgium and Rebecca stayed with her in 1925 half-brother Meijer and her mother in Amsterdam. They then lived with Rebecca’s grandparents, Wolf Schaap and Rebecca Sealtiel at Weestperstraat 51.

In March 1928 she went with her mother and brother to Antwerp, bur Meijer returned to Amsterdam with his mother already after a few months where he was accommodated with his grandparents Wolf Schaap and Rebecca Sealtiel. Also Rebecca arrived again in Amsterdam; on 8 January 1929 they too came living with her grandparents Schaap at Weesperstraat 51.

In the end, the marriage of her parents did not last and on 29 July 1932 they were officially divorced. After her divorce, Rebecc’s mother lived shortly at Nieuwe Keizersgracht 13 in Amsterdam, moved to her parents at Kerkstraat 101, moved with them in August 1937 to Waterlooplein 80 1st floor. Her mother and brother Meihjer moved still one time to Jodenbreestraat 81, but Rebecca stayed with her grandparents at Waterlooplein.

In the night of 24/25 March 1943, Rebecca was taken to concentration camp Vught and eventually, with the so-called childrens transport of June 1943 from Vught via Westerbor, on 8 June 1943 deported to Sobibor and on arrival there on 11 June 1943, immediately killed.
