On arrival there on 10 September, the 25-year old Levie was selected to perform hard labor, in or outside the camp. In the end, Levie Schenkkan has lost his life in Auschwitz on 31 March 1944.

Elisabeth, (usually named Liesje), was also unmarried, when she has been put on transport on 30 October 1942 from Westerbork to Auschwitz, together with her mother Johanna Groen. On arrival in Auschwitz on 2 November 1942 they were immediately killed.
