Biography

About Jacob de Leeuwe and his wife Rosette Bachra.

Jacob de Leeuwe, brilliant polisher by trade, was a son of Isaac de Leeuwe and Antje Blik. 11 February 1925 he married in Amsterdam Rosette Bachra, a daughter of Nehemia Bachra and Sophie Lenson. The couple lived in 1941 at Swammerdamstraat 32 I in Amsterdam. From there, they were deported to Camp Westerbork 13 October 1942 and stayed in barack 64. 19 October both were put on transport to Auschwitz and upon arrival there 22 October 1942 immediately killed.
