Biography

About Ester Blom and Moses Vijevano

 

Ester Blom was a daughter from the 2nd marriage of Marcus Blom and Mijntje Hartog Bonnewits.  She married 17 October 1918 in Amsterdam to Moses Vijevano, a son of Aron Vijevano and Roosje van Praag. The couple had two children, Mary and Rosa. Both the children have survived the Shoah.

 

Ester Blom was registered in Camp Westerbork, together with her husband Moses Vijevano on 7 August 1943 and stayed in barack 67. On 24 August were both deported to Auschwitz were Ester was killed immediately upon arrival there on 27 August 1943. Her husband however eventually lost his life there on 19 December 1943.
