About Eprhaim (Frits) Snoek

Ephraim Snoek, mostly known as Frits, was a son of Mozes Snoek and Engeltje Coopman. He was a well known florist with his stall near the Munt tower in Amsterdam. Ephraim married Henriette de Jong in Amsterdam on  25 May 1935,  a daughter of Abraham de Jong and Sophia Meiler. The couple Snoek-de Jong had two children, Engelina Selma and Sophia Sybilla. Both the children have survived the Holocaust. Also their mother Henriette de Jong survived the Shoah. However her husband was killed in the Shoah.

Ephraim (Frits) Snoek was registered 22 October 1942 in Camp Westerbork and deported "Eastward", presuambly Auschwitz. Eventually somewhere in Mid Europe he lost his life on 31 Maart 1944.
