Biography

Jacob Presser was a son of Isaac Presser and Klaartje van Bergen from Weesp. He married 1 April 1936 in Hilversum Rebecca Aap, a daughter of Jacob Andries Aap and Dina Post. Jacob and Rebecca had a daughter Klaartje, born in Amsterdam on 8 July 1937.

Jacob Presser belonged to the so called "February group" and has been arrested by the nazis already 1941 and sent to Mauthausen, where he was killed on 12 September 1941. His wife remarried in 1942 to Elias Trijtel, who lost his life in Gross Rosen on 3 March 1945,  and had with him a daughter named Elleke in October 1942. Rebecca and both her daughters have been killed on 2 April 1943 in Sobibor.
