Rosalie Schäfer was born in Roes near Cochem (Germany) and has been married on 17 November 1914 in Frankfurt am Main to Adolf Levy. Eight years later, on 16 November 1922, Rosalie and Adolf have been divorced there. In the meantime, already on 4 January 1914 their daughter Auguste was born in Frankfurt am Manin. After the divorce, mother and daughter lived together for some time in Germany but since 1936 the resided in Amsterdam; their latest address was Utrechtsestraat 36 1st stock. Rosalie Schäfer has been deported from transit camp Westerbork to Auschwitz on 18 September 1942 where she has been killed upon arrival there, on 21 September 1942.
