Schoorl

The village of Schoorl in North Holland was the site of one the four Dutch concentration camps.

The other three camps were Westerbork, Vught concentration camp and camp Amersfoort.
Most of those interned at Schoorl during the war were French, British and Belgians residing in the Netherlands. During the first major raids Jews from Amsterdam were brought to Schoorl pending their transfer to Buchenwald and Mauthausen.
