About Jeannette Eisenmann

Jeannette Eisenmann, born in Amsterdam, was a daughter of Gerson Eisenmann from Frankfurt am Main and Rosa Ichenhäuser from Fürth. On 24 June 1942 she married in Amsterdam Bertus Leo Philipson from Den Bosch, a son of Elias Philipson and Rika Waissel. Jeannette and Bertus Leo had a daughter Ruth in March 1943 but they have been killed all on 21 May 1943 in Sobibor.

Jeannette’s parents married in Fürth on 27 April 1903. Her father however passed away already in 1918 and her mother died in 1938. They have been interred in the Jewish Cemetery at Muiderberg. Jeannette self was born into a family of five children. Two of her siblings have survived the Holocaust. However, she self, her sister Eva Mina and her brother Simon  have been killed in the Shoah.
