Helena Troostwijk was a daughter of Samuel Troostwijk and Elisabeth Cappel. She married in Zutphen on 16 August 1911 the cheese merchant from Montfoort, Simon Meijer, a son of Jacob Meijer and Roosje van Os. The couple had three children: Roosje, Bertus Samuel and Jacoba Keetje, who all have been killed in the Shoah. Only father Simon survived the Holocaust and remarried after the war.
