Eduard Blanes was a son of Joseph Blanes and Jeannette Cohen. He married 17 January 1906 in Vianen Saartje de Vries, a daughter of Levie de Vries and Naatje Waterman. In 1922 is er nog een levenloos geboren kind in Vianen aangegeven.
Eduard was born in a family with eight children, of whom he self and his brother Leendert have been killed during the Holocaust.
Eduard Blanes has been deported on 26 September 1942 with Convoy XI (11) from Mechelen to Auschwitz, which arrived there on 28 September 1942. From this transport, 80% has been killed immediately upon arrival and most likelely, Eduard Blanes was one of them.
