Lehman Kropveld was a son of Victor Emanuel Kropveld and Rosette Kosses. He married 13 November 1907 in Amsterdam Aaltje Kropveld, a daughter of David Salomon Kropveld and Grietje Gans. The couple had five children, of whom one daughter died, only 4 days old on 16 January 1919. Two sons and their mother have survived the Holocaust but their children Samuel and Jonas have been killed in the Shoah.
