Arriving in Rotterdam from her previous residence Velsen, Sophie was registered as citizen of Rotterdam per 13 February 1934 in the Civil Registry. She was a cooking star from profession and started to work for the Israelitisch Oudeliedengesticht, established at the Claes de Vrieselaan nr. 70. During the years 1934 till 1937 she moved to various addresses in Rotterdam but in July she moved to Pompenburgsingel 11a. 10 days after the bombardment of Rotterdam, she was found dead at her residence.
