Betje de la Fuente was the daughter of Salomon (Henriques) de la Fuente and Vrouwtje Bruske. she got married to Hijman Turfreijer in 1892. The couple had six children: Henriette, Frederika (died March 1940), Salomon, Milly, Maurits and Louis. Hijman Turfreijer died in 1936.
In 1940, Betje Turfreijer-de la Fuente lived with her daughter at the Utrechtsestraat. A year later they were registered at the address Amstellaan 81-III.
