About Levie Barbier

Levie Barbier was the son of a Jewish mother and a non-Jewish father. His parents had five more children. All children were registered as Roman Catholics. Levie was called up for forced labor in Germany along with other municipal officiaries. He was living alone.

Levie Barbier was arrested in februari 1943 after painting anti-Nazi slogans on the walls of the factory where he was forced to work. He was hung during the "Blutnächte von Plötzensee", in Berlin prison Plötzensee. When the prison was hit during a bombardment, during several nights, all outstanding ordered death penalties were executed.
