Nathan Ikkersheim was married and divorced. He had one daughter, Margaretha who lived with her mother. Nathan was a brother of Hijman Ikkersheim. Nathan served as a sergeant in the KNIL. He was as a prisoner of war on the Suez Maru steamship that was torpedoed by an American submarine near the island Kangean.
