About Barend Kamp

Barend Kamp was a son of Andreas Kamp and Sprientje Jacobs Sanders. He married Johanna Fransman in Rotterdam on 19 June 1907, a daughter of Andries Fransman and Rosette Sanders. The couple had three children, namely  Andreas, Isidore en Spriena. Those three children and their families have been killed in the Shoah.

Barend Kamp passed away in Rotterdam on 18 November 1942 and the funeral records at the Jewish cemetery in Rotterdam reveal that Barend Kamp was buried there. His sister Judith was married to Abraham Schelvis from Amsterdam, but lived in after his passing with the Ephraim Snoek family at Douwes Dekkerstraat 33 III in Amsterdam. About his other sister, Eva, born in 1869 at Opheusden, is nothing further known.

His wife Johanna Fransman however was registered in Camp Westerbork on 14 October 1942 and deported to Auschwitz on 6 November and immediately killed upon arrival there on 8 November 1942.
