Elisabeth van Es was a daughter of Aron van Es and Sara Huijsman. She was married on 27 November 1894 in Zaandam to Jacob Kleerekoper, son of Gerrit Jacob Kleerekoper and Catharina Agsteribbe. The couple had five children: Gerrit, Sara and Mina but Herman and Catharina have survived the Holocaust.
