About Lodewijk Jack Gompertz

Lodewijk Jack Gompertz was in hiding on the Valeriusstraat in Amsterdam. His grandmother Kaatje Gompertz-Goudsmit, Saliena Vos, Heinz Alex Schulenklopper, Nico Prins and his wife Suze Kogel were hiding there as well. They were betrayed and picked up and deported by members of the Kolonne Henneicke on 22 September 1943.

Lodewijk Jack (Lo) Gompertz was a scout in the Dunnewoldgroep (a Scouting Movement) in Amsterdam-Zuid (Parnassusweg). In the summer of 1940 he camped near the cottage "De Kubus" in Bussum.
