In May 1941, Het Joodsche Weekblad published an obituary for Rachel Gokkes-Spreekmeester. The message was signed on behalf of everyone by her husband Salomon Meijer. A week later, a rectified message appeared in the same weekly, this time her husband was named as Salomon Meijer Gokkes.
