Nathan Ketellapper was a son of Marcus Ketellapper and Rachel Bonewit. He was unmarried and lived in with his niece Rosa and her husband Meijer van der Horst.
Nathan was born in a family with ten children. Two of his sisters have passed away before the war. His other siblings, Isaac, Abraham, Hijman, Marianne, Leentje, Vrouwtje and Alexander, have been killed during the Holocaust
