Salomon Sarlui was a son of Levie Sarlui and Branka de Vries. He married on 27 December 1899 in Amsterdam to Fijtje Dagloonder, daughter of Kosman Joseph Dagloonder and Sientje Dagloonder. The couple had seven children: Branka, Rosa Rosette, Cosman, Louis, Abraham, Benjamin and Philip.
